Rincón Hosts Two Days of Triathlon Events

The 2010 Central American-Caribbean Games (hereafter referred to as 2010 Games) are here at last. By the time you read this, Rincón will have celebrated the 30th year of the Tríalo Rincoeño which was held on June 6th. This year the Tríalo was more than an anniversary, it was a rehearsal for the 2010 Games Triathlon event that will take place here on July 24 and 25.
Albert Morales and members of the Tríalo Rincoeño committee (Millie Tillero, Sammy Sánchez, Angel Caro, Eddie González, Juan González, Catalino Caro, Alfredo Raffucci, Manuel Rivera and Alouis Ibouanga) were asked to head the Triathlon Event for the 2010 Games. Albert is the sub-Director of the Technical Committee for the Games. He designed the swimming, biking and running course that was approved by the ITU (International Triathlon Union) with only a few adjustments.
Albert Morales has a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida. He has been an advocate for physical training and conditioning all his life. Since his retirement from the Army as a Major and his return to his home town of Rincón, Albert has been active in town sports. In recent years he has been the Technical Director of the Tríalo Rincoeño.
The main features of the Tríalo Rincoeño this year and the 2010 Games Triathlon are the changes made to the courses which make them more difficult technically. The bike and running course are more compact with increased, more difficult turns. Albert’s goal was to make the event more spectator-friendly and to decrease the impact on the major roads leading to town. He has worked closely with the new police Captain Matilde Rodriguez Rivera on the subject of traffic control and parking.

Rincón Anfitrión por Dos Días de Eventos de Trialo
Los Juegos Centroaméricanos y del Caribe del 2010 (en lo sucesivo, Juegos 2010) están aquí por fín. Para el momento en que usted lea esto, en Rincón se habrán celebrado 30 años del Trialo Rincoeño, el cual se celebró el 6 de Junio. Este año, el Tríalo fue más que un aniversario, fue un ensayo para la competencia de Trialo que tendrá lugar aquí el 24 y 25 de Julio los Juegos del 2010.
Alberto Morales y los miembros del Comité del Tríalo Rincoeño (Millie Tillero, Sammy Sánchez, Ángel Caro, Eddie González, Juan González, Catalino Caro, Alfredo Raffucci, Manuel Rivera y Alouis Ibouanga) fueron solicitados a encabezar la competencia de Trialo para los Juegos del 2010. Albert es el Sub-Director del Comité Técnico para los juegos. Él diseñó la ruta de Natación, Ciclismo y Carrera que fue aprobado por la ITU (International Thriatholon Union), (en Español,Unión Internacional de Trialo), con sólo ajustes menores.
Albert Morales tiene una Maestría en Fisiología del Ejercicio de la Universidad de Florida. Ha sido un defensor de la educación física y el acondicionamiento durante toda su vida. Desde su retiro del ARMY como Mayor y su regreso a su pueblo natal de Rincón, Alberto ha estado activo en los deportes del Pueblo. En los últimos años ha sido el Director Técnico del Tríalo Rincoeño.
Las principales características del Tríalo Rincoeño de este año y el Trialo de los Juegos 2010 son los cambios realizados en los cursos que los hacen más difícil técnicamente. Por supuesto el curso de la bicicleta y la carrera son más compactos, pero con mayores vueltas, más difícil. La meta de Alberto era hacer el evento más amigable para el espectador y disminuir el impacto en las principales vías del pueblo. Él ha trabajado muy de cerca con la nueva Capitán de la Policía Matilde Rodríguez Rivera sobre el tema del control del tráfico y de estacionamiento.
